CompuCraft develops Web Content Management software for various corporations and government departments and are seeking to fill the following position.


ComWeb Instance Administrator / Group Web Manager

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our company to work with our development team in our Belconnen Office, and on-site with one or more of our long term clients using ComWeb.

Please email a short CV outlining your qualifications, skills and experience in the following:

  • Organisational and management skills including good written and verbal communication skills. These are mandatory as this is an administrative position dealing with many web authors, management and vendors.
  • In relation to the ComWeb Web Content Management System:
    • Completion of the ComWeb Content Manager (Standard) course and a minimum of 12 months experience as a Content Manager.
    • Experience as a ComWeb Approval Officer is highly desirable.
    • Completion of the ComWeb Instance Administrator (Group Web Manager) course with subsequent experience in performing the duties is highly desirable, though training can be provided to the successful applicant.
  • Understanding and appreciation of good web design practices and web standards including W3C, WCAG 2.0, metadata and requirements to meet web Accessibility, FOI and Archive Act requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Dreamweaver FTP, or any FTP package sufficient to transfer files from an intranet to the internet is highly desirable. Basic familiarity with XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS 2.1 is desirable though this is not a technical or web master position.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop sufficient to optimise images for the web is highly desirable.

Several clients have been using ComWeb for up to 10 years, each managing up to 500 web sites/sub-sites. Over this time there has been changes in management, organisational and business direction, successive Content Managers (subject matter experts), evolution of web trends and technologies, etc. Therefore the content (data) holdings are in urgent need of review and identification of areas needing update and reorganisation.

As a consequence we are also seeking persons experienced with business analysis and information architecture to work with clients and web authors to ensure an efficient and effective, manageable and maintainable, current and compliant, accountable and auditable web presence.

A current Department of Defence security clearance and previous experience in one of the ADF Services is highly desirable.
