Introduction

ComWeb is a highly scalable out of the box web content management solution that can service a wide range of organisations from the large corporation to a small company.

ComWeb is designed for organisations that wish to devolve responsibility for the management of their information, while maintaining control of the business rules and corporate identity associated with their organisation.

ComWeb provides a sound foundation for many web-based applications as it has most of the expected modules already built-in, including logon, secure content, archival, audit, security, and many search and display routines. The time-frame is minimised through the use of existing modules and functionality to deliver the application.

Functionality

ComWeb is one of the most functionally rich Web Content Management applications available in the marketplace today.

Organisations can choose to link ComWeb to other applications, and/or web pages, or to extend the ComWeb functionality through one of our optional modules. These include the Forms Builder module for interactive collection of data, or Corporate Data Interface modules. ComWeb also provides the ability to interface to various document management systems.

Standards

Through adherence with various web and government standards, ComWeb offers its users the confidence that it will grow with the organisation as existing standards mature and new standards evolve. ComWeb supports W3C, the Archive Act, AGLS and Dublin Core Metadata, XML/XSL and HTML 4 to name the core standards for adherence by a content management system.

Ease of Use

ComWeb has been specifically designed with the non-technical user in mind. ComWeb uses simple commands, icons and page construction layouts similar in look and feel to current popular desktop word processing systems. This makes ComWeb very quick to learn for even most inexperienced users.
