Can large sites be created in ComWeb ?

ComWeb may be used for sites of virtually any size - though there is a limit of 2 billion (216) web pages per database.

A large web presence should be divided into ComWeb "Instances" - collections of web sites under a common administrative cell.

While large sites are possible, they are easier to manage as several sub-sites. eg each top level menu link on a web site may logically link to separate sub-sites.

ComWeb provides Instance Administrators with a windows explorer style screen (drag/drop folder/sub-folder interface) to organise their web presence into sites and sub-sites based on an organisation hierarchy, projects, locations, topics, categories or any combinations of these.

Each sub-site (web sites in their own right) may be assigned to one of several corporate branding and operational templates. Each site may appear as a member of the organisation's web presence, or a stand alone web site.

Each "site" in the site hierarchy may be a ComWeb site or a link to a site constructed in a another process, eg DreamWeaver, and accessed under the one ComWeb Instance umbrella.

One client had a COmWeb internet web site with over 10,000 files - though subsequently implemented as a dozen sub-sites.
